A bridge on Chicago's South Side that's designed to end frustrating delays for riders on Metra's Rock Island Line was formally dedicated Thursday.
The historic Stone Avenue train station in La Grange, which was built in 1901, has been restored to its original glory, leaving those standing near its sparkling limestone archways in awe at a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday.
Rep. Dan Lipinski, D-Western Springs, came together with La Grange Village President Tom Livingston and Metra CEO Don Orseno, as well as other state officials, for a ribbon cutting ceremony at the village's newly renovated Stone Avenue Station.
