We are in the midst of an unprecedented public health and economic crisis. Like you, I am deeply concerned about this disease and our public safety and well-being, and I am closely following the rapidly evolving developments around it. My offices are still working hard to assist the residents of the Third Congressional District navigate available federal resources.  To assist you, I put together this COVID-19 resources website to help provide you accurate and up to date information during this difficult time. This includes information on the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, information on reopening the State of Illinois and the City of Chicago, and other guidance that you may find helpful. This information is for individuals, families, students, and our essential workers keeping our economy moving during this difficult time.

I am continuing to work together with other Members in Congress in a bipartisan fashion to take steps to help protect our communities, stabilize our economy, and end this crisis as quickly as we can. Working with the other 49 members of the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus, we called on House leaders to find ways for Congress to carry out its constitutional duties while adhering to social distancing guidelines, and released a checklist for reopening the economy and getting Americans safely back to work.

Thank you to all the healthcare workers, first responders, police officers, and other essential workers in the Third District and across our nation for their efforts to support and keep our communities safe.  And thank you to everyone who has done their part to help by socially distancing, staying at home, and keeping informed to protect public health. I urge all to please heed the advice of healthcare experts. We are all in this together and I encourage everyone to help one another through this challenging time.
