Congressman Lipinski Hosts Virtual Information Session on Financing College: Federal & State Financial Aid Resources for Students & Families

Congressman Lipinski is hosting a Virtual Information Session on Financing College: Federal & State Financial Aid Resources for Students & Families on Monday, November 9th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. CST. The Congressman invites high school and college students, parents and those interested in learning more about navigating resources to cover the costs of higher education to join him for this virtual Zoom information session. 

This program will provide guidance for students and families about the available resources and how to best take advantage of these opportunities as they look to prepare financially for a college, university, or community college.

The program will feature an outstanding lineup of presenters, including:

  • General Mark Brown, Federal Student Aid (FSA) Chief Operating Officer
  • Kiely Fletcher, University of Illinois at Chicago Executive Director of Financial Aid and Scholarships
  • Aaron Lemon-Strauss, The College Board Vice President of College and Career Readiness
  • Thomas Semanic, Illinois Student Assistance Commission

Additional representatives from FSA, U.S. Department of Education, ISAC, and others will be available to assist with answering questions from participants.
